Entry Description

Taoxichuan reimagines two abandoned factories as a dynamic cultural and community destination. Guided by the principle of “Enabling and Evolving”, the 22-hectare masterplan fuses adaptive reuse with civic plazas, green corridors, and subterranean connections to foster vibrant public life and creative industries. Preserved kilns and chimneys are transformed into living heritage landmarks. With artisan housing and flexible event spaces, Taoxichuan regenerates Jingdezhen’s industrial legacy into a walkable, sustainable urban district—establishing a global cultural landmark for ceramic artists.
