Entry Description

This project reimagines “home” in the historic Sang-e Siah neighborhood of Shiraz by merging two local typologies: the introverted Godal-Baghcheh and the extroverted Bagh-e Takht. The design fosters intergenerational interaction and community through a layered spatial system—private spaces situated in the sunken Godal-Baghcheh and guest areas in the elevated Bagh-e Takht—while addressing social challenges such as generational differences and diverse lifestyles. Green spaces extend into the public realm, creating a shared garden and a new model of contextual urban living.
