SPREAD is a pop-up café designed for Sydney Festival, inspired by the spread-out nature of its venues. The design features tinted and greyed hues to create a joyful retreat without overwhelming the senses. Curved panels rise and spread like wings symbolising the festival’s creative spirit and freedom of expression. Coloured polycarbonate partitions, including a cut-out photo wall, invite play and interaction – hallmarks of the festival experience. Embracing circular design, furniture is hired, packaging is plant-based, and materials are responsibly repurposed post-festival with Revert Group.
