Entry Description

The project consists of a series of shelter, recreation, and feeding modules for small native birds of the urban area of the Valley of Mexico.
The design consists of a system of modules assembled on a lattice panel suitable for facades and terraces. The system's purpose is to provide nesting and shelter spaces for birds that thrive in urban environments, where their access to green areas is limited or nonexistent in some cases.
The main idea is to design the modules in a biomaterial crafted from clay and gelatine, an initial material that is compostable with a low carbon footprint.
