"WISP" signifies a wisp of smoke or breeze, suggesting subtle presence and lightness. This two-story courtyard home in Hsinchu offers refuge from the urban clamor. Inspired by the homeowner’s longing for nature and familial ties, the design aims to preserve memories across generations. Guided by the concept of “the beauty of distance,” the space becomes a vessel for emotional exchange. At its heart stands a frangipani tree, whose seasonal changes—flowers and falling leaves—symbolize lasting bonds. Over time, it weaves a living story of love and family continuity.
