Howqua River Lodge is a refined off-grid retreat located deep within Victoria’s alpine region. Designed as a sanctuary for sustainable rural living, the project balances architectural elegance with environmental responsibility. The interior design embraces natural materials—spotted gum timber, stone, and bagged render—chosen for their durability, low environmental impact, and tactile beauty. Earthy tones and restrained detailing allow the surrounding landscape to take visual precedence, reinforcing a deep connection to nature.
