Realized by Gensler in partnership with an international team of architects and engineers, Msheireb Downtown Doha is the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project, with the highest concentrations of LEED-certified buildings in the world, boasting 48 anticipated LEED Platinum and 23 Gold Certified buildings to date. Gensler has designed 20 of these, with 16 anticipated LEED Platinum and 4 Gold. Combining modern construction techniques with cultural and contextual precedent for sustainable design, the project takes a markedly different approach to downtown redevelopment.
