Transcending Luminance

You enter, you pick up your ticket, grab a drink, and find your seat. The house lights turn off and the stage lights turn on. Guided in luminescence, you transcend on a journey following the story of a performance.

Located in Atlanta Georgia, this theater is surrounded by arts and culture. It provides users with an enriched experience transcending them through the space from beginning, middle, to end, reflective of the way we feel when watching a show; intrigued, excited, and moved.

I’ve lived in five different cities within the last five years and each one has shown me how diverse, imperfect, and beautiful our world can be. I have learned that the built environment often tells a city’s story. By using sketching, I've been able to analyze how a place makes me feel in a given moment, how people interact with a space, and how an interior or building interacts with its surroundings. Good design has the power to define an experience by integrating, welcoming, and challenging us often amidst places of uncertainty.
