The concept for this collection is based on my personal experience growing up queer in a Roman Catholic family and Italian American community. I knew I was queer from a young age, and while I did not know the words for the identity, I knew the words for the punishment.
This collection is an inquisition and exploration of FAITH and FEAR.
It is inspired by Catholic guilt, religious horror, rosary beading, clerical vestments, Roman drapery and Italian funerary wear.
