Entry Description

The Shenzhen Natural History Museum integrates five major functions which are exhibition, collection preservation and protection, public services, popular science education, and retail and academic activities. The museum was inspired by the river delta itself and re-establishes the whole landscape on top of the building. There are series of big cones in which the exhibition areas are housed. Each of these cones are linked by the sinuous form that forms the building’s exterior. The Shenzhen Natural History Museum will be unlike anything else in Shenzhen and the world.
