Craft Beer Pop-up Store

This 240 sq ft craft beer bar embraces the "Instagram-worthy" trend with a bold "nostyle" approach, rejecting mainstream design. Constructed from recycled materials—wheel rims, oil drums, grating panels, and kampung glass windows—the bar features a raw exterior softened by greenery and playful details like beetle art and Edison bulbs. Inside, a mix of retro furniture, eclectic décor, and geometric patterns creates a vibrant atmosphere. Every element, from tables to signage, is repurposed, promoting sustainability while delivering a fresh, memorable experience that sparks organic word-of-mouth.

Cosmo Chuah, founder of LAB TWO DESIGN, is a Penang-based interior designer with over 20 years of experience since 2000. His multidisciplinary work spans residential, commercial, and exhibition design, focusing on narrative, materiality, and spatial context. Recognized in both local and international design awards, Cosmo actively engages in design dialogues across Asia. His work reflects a strong commitment to contextual relevance, creating functional and culturally resonant spaces that contribute to Malaysia’s evolving design identity.
