The project transformed a 1919-built textile warehouse in Shanghai into a home and designer studio, preserving its 13-meter ceiling, concrete crane runways, and steel structures. The design utilized local materials, incorporating a post-pandemic health-conscious circulation and a Zen-inspired office area. The reimagined staircase echoes industrial heritage, while roof openings and well-proportioned new walls reshape spatial boundaries, attracting seagulls. By Yunzaobang River, the building intertwines history and modernity, exemplifying sustainable regeneration for industrial architecture.
