The project brief was to design a Manhattan museum dedicated to the film genre of Enchantment. The institution advances the appreciation of the art, history and technique of films, television and digital media exploring themes of supernatural events, magic, fantasy, folklore, and mythology. The program includes smaller galleries, two large theatres (transformable into smaller exhibitions), a restaurant, a gift shop, and administrative spaces. A permanent exhibition of the Harry Potter films is featured, with the museum’s design concept derived from an in-depth analysis of its cinematography.
