The Fig Wasp Module is designed to enhance fig production by supporting natural pollinators, the fig wasps. Inspired by biomimicry, it uses hexagonal shapes to mimic bee hives, enhancing structural integrity and spatial efficiency. Real fig textures and aromatic plants attract wasps, promoting natural pollination. The module integrates unused figs sourced locally and aims to increase fig yield, contribute to food security, and support biodiversity. It reduces the need for chemical pollinators, preserving the ecosystem's natural balance and fostering sustainable agriculture.
