The MIT platform is designed specifically for the treatment of diaper rash and diarrhea in infants. It replaces traditional infrared treatment where babies lay face down on a bed with an antibacterial glass baby basin and upward-facing infrared lamp that allows the baby to lie down and avoid chest compression.
A mirror is placed below to facilitate nursing staff's observation of the baby's buttocks. For diarrhea care, feces can be directly discharged into the basin, reducing the need for diapers and preventing other problems caused by dampness.
