The 2018 China Mobile Population Development Report highlights a growing demographic of nearly 18,000 migrant elderly people nationwide.These individuals are seniors who have moved to take care of their children or grandchildren, leaving behind their familiar surroundings to "wander" with their families.To address the needs of this population, I developed a "cell phone + doorbell" system that enables building leaders in Shanghai to directly communicate community events to their elderly relatives through text messages and phone calls, bypassing the traditional neighborhood bullet boards.
