Ripples - Third place design for the gay community

The purpose of this project is to design a third place to strengthen gay social relations and gay community connections.

Now many gay bars are considered as raucous dance venues, this project aims to explore the evolution of gay bars in a new era.

The project creates a fluid space that allows people to encourage social interaction while dancing, drinking and enjoying shows.

Inspired by the concept of ripples, the site is like a calm surface of water and ripples are created when people start socializing. Curved walls and wall openings design allow for more interaction with the space.

My design philosophy: Design is a celebration, an invitation to weave memories together, a surprising opening, a memorable ending.
I think the focus of interior design is how to meet people's needs visually, physically and spiritually. Interior design is the display of people's personality and the response of their real selves. Visually, it should meet the pursuit of human beings as visual animals. Physically, pay attention to every detail that affects people's health and well-being and environmental harmony; Spiritually, positively build cultural、social and personal connections.
