Inspired by Chinese lacquerware, known for its shiny black surfaces, red carvings, and shell inlays, my work transforms traditional techniques like cracks, layering, and glossy finishes into fashion. By adding shell and crystal elements, I created shimmering textiles and 3D forms that echo lacquerware’s sculptural beauty. This project bridges heritage and modern design, giving new life to craftsmanship through contemporary fashion.
