“The King of Assyria: Ashurbanipal” exhibition, a collaboration between Suzhou Museum and the British Museum, presents 149 exquisite Assyrian artifacts dating from 900 BCE to 1885 CE. Designed and executed by Gold Mantis Culture, the project fuses Assyrian motifs—stone reliefs, palatial architecture, and intricate patterns—with the poetic elegance of Suzhou aesthetics. Through immersive lighting, spatial layering, soundscapes, and multisensory storytelling, the exhibition reimagines Ashurbanipal’s palace, allowing visitors to experience the ancient empire’s artistry and timeless power.
