Our task was to create a restaurant for Elena Reygardas, recently named the World's Best Female Chef. 'Alchemy' mirrors Elena's talent for transforming nature into gastronomic gold.The three-level converted warehouse offers unique experiences on each floor: a rooftop herb garden and beehive, a mezzanine with a relaxed, playful bar and street food, and a ground floor dedicated to fine cuisine.Inspired by Elena's Mexican heritage, vibrant colours are found throughout, with judicious paint application, finishes, and strategic use of concrete and colour to create a monochromatic backdrop.
