The renovation reinterprets the home to meet the needs of the current and future generations of the architects that originally designed it. It respects the family legacy while responding to contemporary lifestyle changes and the natural evolution of the landscape surrounding the home. Built in 1956, the material palette of the original building is simple and robust: concrete structural frame with brick infill walls and large expanses of glass framing landscape views and vaulted concrete roofs lending greater scale to main living spaces.
