Yan Chen is Vice President of Dongguan Hengtai Technology Group and former Design Director at OCT Group. As a ninth-level executive at Wanda Group, he has over 25 years of experience in cultural tourism and themed entertainment design. Yan Chen is an award-winning architect and urban planner whose work spans cultural architecture, tourism development, and narrative experience design. As Vice President of Planning at Wanda Group, Chief Architect and Design Director at OCT Group, and Lead Interior Architect for the National Centre for the Performing Arts, he has led nationally significant and globally recognized projects integrating spatial storytelling, sustainability, and regional identity.
His contributions have been honored with China’s Luban Prize, the nation’s top engineering award, for his role in the National Centre for the Performing Arts—a landmark symbolizing cultural modernity and technical excellence

He also received the Starry Sky Award for Best Theme Park Performance for the show Golden Mask Dynasty at Beijing Happy Valley, awarded jointly by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and The Paper after a six-month expert and data-driven evaluation, based on user experience metrics and OTA platform analytics
