The Classic of Mountains and Seas is a treasure trove of China's record of the world and its imagination of the splendour of nature. The materials used for this design are silk and bamboo strips, both of which are taken from nature. I took inspiration from Chinese ink painting and calligraphy and used the four characteristics of "human being", "harmony", "longevity", and "roundness" to express my reverence for nature. The work reinterprets the myths and legends with personalized art language, evoking our memories of totems and mythological fantasies.
