Entry Description

Held at Songyang's historic bank, "Being Heard" exemplifies adaptive reuse and cultural homage. The venue transforms into an audio-visual hall, championing marginalized heritage voices. Three curated galleries take visitors on a journey: from personal narratives and QR-crafted sounds to architectural integrations. Central to the exhibit are seven synchronized participatory documentaries, crafted without directors or scripts. These films, initiated by the architects and heritage experts, vividly spotlight Old Street shopkeepers' roles as custodians of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
