I’m the founder and principal-designer of Sound-Aesthetics. I was born in South Africa to Dutch parents. My main formal training is as a Chartered Accountant, but I pursued a portfolio-career, with many side-projects in photography, architecture, audio, and industrial design — and these continue to fascinate. I believe that good design is the product of travel, reflection and experimentation. My immigration-roots, autodidactic nature, broad interests, and many travels around the world, helped to shape my view of the world (and on how it could be improved).
