Zhenyuan Christina Shi is an NYC-based artist. They graduated with an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design in 2020. Their works have been shown in galleries such as Usagi NY, ZXY gallery, etc. Their work explores the poetic expression of pain and complex emotions experienced by bodies living under systems of oppression and exile. They investigate the method of distilling emotions and resistance into poetry, and poetry into imagery. They play with secretive ways of communication through symbols, movements, and imagery.
