Entry Description

Commissioned by the Memphis River Parks Partnership, Mississippi River Garden is a key public space located in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. The goal of this project was to embody the partnership's tag line, "a riverfront for everyone". This design leverages the site's existing conditions and forms an integrated public park that welcomes its community. Repurposed shipping containers create a foundation for a system of pavilions that inspire play. Layers of platforms and groups of organic elements give its visitors a feeling that this is a natural extension of the landscape.
