IDA 2024 NOW OPEN -- Early Bird Deadline May 30, 2024
January 22nd, 2024: Congratulations to the 2023 International Design Awards (IDA) winners who were announced today. The 17th edition of the IDA attracted thousands of outstanding submissions from designers around the world who vied for the top prizes in this prestigious award.
Evaluating submissions from almost 80 countries, members of the IDA jury commented on the incredibly high standard of design entries across the five award disciplines – Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design.
“The IDA has always been about seeking out truly visionary designers showcasing creativity and innovation. The Awards continued to attract thousands of entries in 2023, and the jury had an enormous task in selecting the winners from some truly outstanding design submissions,” commented Jill Grinda, VP of Marketing and Business Development for the IDA.
In the words of IDA Jury member Carolina Tinoco, Architect, Designer, Curator & Consultant in Eco-Design & Social Impact Initiatives, “What stands out is the genuine consideration for the impact on nature and communities, showcasing a heightened awareness and responsibility among participants. Serving as a juror connects me with a global network of talents, enabling collaborative efforts and co-creation with like-minded individuals worldwide. It’s a source of inspiration and motivation as I contribute to the discourse on viable and impactful design solutions.”
Design Director and Co-founder of d2p Laura Mimini, noted, “The sheer quality and quantity of projects surpassed my expectations, particularly in the non-professional section. Witnessing the evident commitment and enthusiasm for eco and sustainability initiatives was not only impressive but also a significant win for our planet. Additionally, the innovative concepts and ideas related to medical equipment and solutions for treating various health issues were highly promising. The remarkable sensitivity and vision displayed by the new designs left me feeling genuinely happy and hopeful for the future. Kudos to all the participants for their outstanding contributions!”
Mark Blackwell, Creative Director and Chartered Landscape Architect, Morphis, and IDA Jury member added, “Again, this year, the winners successfully connected people to the heart of their surroundings, taking experiential design and innovation beyond the boundaries to create memorable destinations.”

The winners will receive their awards at a special gala evening in 2024. Further details on this event will be announced.
