This penthouse, located above New York's High Line, was designed for two art collectors and features a central volume with moveable walls that can be redeployed depending on the work to be exhibited. The family had a unique hosting requirement to both live and show art in the space: “a disappearing kitchen.” To solve this issue our team custom designed a fifteen foot long by ten foot tall moving wall to act as a hidden door that could reveal or hide the kitchen from the gallery. While open and sunny for their morning coffee it transforms into a back of house space for their evening soirées.
