Bangalore, the Silicon Valley and Garden City of India is undergoing a looming water crisis with the depletion of city lakes owing to land encroachment.
The subsequent use of ground water to satisfy the needs of the growing city population has led to severe water depletion of the ground water table.
If current scenario persists it is forecasted that Bangalore will soon be drought-hit taking after the likes of Johannesburg, South Africa with acute water rationing.
