Designed for a 19th century public hospital, the Newton Light series factors in both cost of manufacture and maintenance and combines industrial materials with hand crafted components. Used for easy maintenance, a mild steel frame is mounted with plastic globes and offset with the delicate grain of acacia wood holders that have been specially modeled to fit the globes. Used in a space where different architectural elements have been over time and the product references different design eras but retains its identity as a contemporary design element in the setting.
