Entry Description

The Rhizome Rooms redefines the ideology and spaces of a childcare. The endless modular design suspended mid-air, branches out and caters its service to surrounding office buildings - eradicating the worries and inconvenience a working adult may have.

There are 4 types of spaces differentiated by the colours. The reception/main space in yellow, the playing space in red/orange; which brings out energy, sleeping space in blue/green which suggests comfort and tranquillity, and lastly hygiene area in purple - a mix between blues and pinks.

The Rhizome Rooms is a project inspired on Deleuze and Guattari's A Thousand Plateaus, and analysis from seagrass rhizome's growth pattern.

"It has neither beginning nor end, but always a middle from which it grows and overspills..."
Deleuze & Guattari, A Thousand Plateaus
