The Client required for the creation of an external restaurant/lounge to be located at the ‘Address Hotel Downtown Dubai’. The desired aesthetics were to embrace the sentiments as set out within the brief, addressing the space as an ‘urban jungle’ establishing diversifying visual and spatial layering’s throughout. This was to be done through the use of differing Architectural Landscaping techniques combining both built–in and loose furniture, coupled with the specification of materials used as they had to be durable enough to withstand the extreme weather conditions presented by this region, yet still reflect and maintain the desired visual dynamics that were required. This was achieved through the incorporation of the various materials specified and a variety of surface finishes and textures such as three dimensionally formed stones, polished, honed and bush milled surfaces, through to specialized decorative items such as bio ethanol fire features and water bodies.
