Entry Description

An allegorical commentary juxtaposing the qualities of the hand with the (current) prevalence of the digital aesthetic.

The technological revolution has changed the world, and with its continuous development, has significantly affected the way we work. Unprecedented accessibility has given the every-man a once implausible outlet into a countless variety of visually dominant, craft-driven trades.

A perversion of technology wielded as a means to an end, and not a helpful tool, has become increasingly problematic in recent years within the collective realms of art and design. Often serving as an irresistible crutch, the computer has significantly altered the landscape of the profession. It is only when technology is properly utilized, however, that the fruits of technological innovation can be fully realized.
