Entry Description

Love can be euphoric, romantic, sweet, and fun.

Fly Me to the Moon is a handwritten and expressive typography spread based on the lyrics of the song, Fly Me to the Moon (cover version by The Macarons Project). Taking inspiration from the original song and the cover, my idea was to express the euphoric, romantic and sweet feeling of being in love in the spreads. As a designer and illustrator, I've interpreted the chorus of Fly Me to the Moon in a very expressive way, inspired by the lyrics itself. The drop shadow of the visual elements makes them look like paper cutouts, like love letters.

Bio

I'm Christy Tsang, a graphic designer and illustrator studying at the York/Sheridan Joint Program in Design (BDes) in Toronto.

As a graphic designer, I love exploring different mediums and techniques to express the message and feeling needed for the project. I am a storyteller and a designer, currently focusing on communication design, visual identity, editorial design, and typography. My goal is to always create effective, clear, and strong designs, as well as inspiring others with my works.

I believe design could change the world and influence new ideas.
