Entry Description

The pavilions linked through glass connectors emulate the existing on-site boulders. This playful cluster design enjoys 360 degrees views of the Ceres Hills. Adhering to the Passive Design Principles, helped as well disrupting the wind turbulence.
Compressed Laminated Timber (CLT) panels and Glulam portals for the structure relied on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA). Choosing timber was crucial for the sequestration of carbon and biophilic properties.
Repurposing the scattered sandstones from the late 1880's ruins inside the house consolidated a sense of history and belonging.

level architekture>konstrukt was established 28 years ago to fulfill the need for an interdisciplinary service that pursues sustainable built outcomes. The practice's construction continuum pushes the boundaries in construction techniques and explores new methodologies. From incorporating prefab steel pod modules to CLT and Glulam off-site construction.
As an architect, I understand the Sense of a Place, the integration of Biophilic elements and the implementation of Regenerative Design in our projects.
