On the tail of 2021, I started to hand-sew bits and pieces of fabric that I collected for over four and a half years; after that, I developed an oversized and loose jacket silhouette. The piece searches to create graphic patterns through textures, volumes, and movement without a previously set design. The process turned out to be relaxing, a form of catharsis, a way of anxiety relief, and a homage to new beginnings; is gratitude for receiving new materials and a way to honor them making the most out of the tiniest scraps of these donated, recycled, and salvaged fabrics.
