Press Contact: IDA Kicks Off 2008 With Rebranded Website and Art Book of 2007 Winners(Los Angeles) December 14, 2007 – The International Design Awards is kicking off its 2008 awards season with a redesigned website and the IDA07 book. Thanks to all jury members for nominating winning designers, judging entrants' projects, and otherwise suggesting new jury members to make 2007, IDA's first year, a success. The art book, designed by acclaimed San Francisco-based graphic design house Chen Design, surveys over 100 commanding projects in architecture and interior, graphic, product and fashion design; and congratulates the IDA jurors who nominated winning entries and otherwise contributed to the success of IDA's first year. Winning projects range from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill's Al-Rahji Bank Headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Zaha Hadid's Mesa table, with 107 innovative projects submitted from 54 cities internationally. Work by all winning architects and designers will be featured year-long at www.idesignawards.com, with project descriptions and links to designer websites; spotlighted in the IDA07 art book, to be distributed to museum and art bookstores nationwide; and explored in the week-long IDA Visionary Exhibit taking place at the Museum of Design Art and Architecture in Culver City March 9-14, 2008. Jurors, members of the press, winners and their friends and family members will be invited to the opening reception on March 9.
